oh yes... sounds quirky but definitely do-able!! If you look at online sites or go into the stores just look around and you'll find many styles of flies with bead head.


Sometimes they will have something like the following:

* BHN = Bead Head Nymph
Bead Head - Hook Conversion Chart Bead-head-nymph



* BHCJ = Bead Head Copper John
Bead Head - Hook Conversion Chart Bead-head-copper-john


Now when it comes to beads you have many choices...... glass, lead, tungsten, brass. On my teeny-tiny flies I prefer to use glass. On my slightly larger flies I'll go with brass. But for my larger flies and especially those that I use in saltwater fishing, I'll hit 'em with lead or tungsten.
